Sunday Events: Proposed start 9.00am
Racing for all classes will commence at 9:00am at Governor Phillip Park at Windsor. All boats must be launched and warmed up by 8.30am. No boat will launch prior to 7.30am. No boat will be able to launch after the 10 minute hooter to start has sounded. All boats must travel upstream (towards Windsor Bridge) prior to the start of competition. There is ample sandy beach area on the upstream side of the Windsor Bridge. IT IS AN 8 KNOT NO WASH ZONE. All boats will be required to form up in start positions and marshal upstream of the Start Boat which will be positioned opposite the UHPBC Clubhouse. Odd race numbers will start on the right, or Clubhouse side of the start boat. Even race numbers will start on the left, or dredge side of the start boat. All boats will start at 1 boat every 30 seconds.
Boats will travel downstream and arrive at Wisemans Ferry. All boats and skiers will pass the chequered buoy using either side. There will be an orange run out buoy, approximately 100 metres down stream past the chequered buoy. All boats must continue past the run out buoy and drop your skiers into the water on a tight rope. You must then pull you skiers into the boat. Once you have retrieved your skiers you can then idle back to the NSW Ski Grounds, so as not to impede finishing boats.
Boats may be retrieved from the water however normal ramps fees may apply. Refuelling of boats at the NSW Ski Grounds is NOT ALLOWED. Boats that remain in the water should line up along the bank in the order that you arrive.
The Judges will be located in the blue bus directly opposite the chequered buoy. Upon arrival at Wisemans Ferry, one member from each crew should attend the Judges Bus and obtain their start order for the return leg.
Sunday Restart: Proposed 12.00pm
It is anticipated that the turn around time after the last boat arrives will be in the vicinity of 30 to 45 minutes, with a proposed restart time of 12:00pm. LISTEN FOR PA ANNOUNCEMENTS. Race Restart will not be held for the re-launching of boats.
Anyone that retrieves their boats from the water will have to ensure that they re-launch their boats in ample time to start the race. Any boat requiring a warm up will be able to do so if you idle clear of other competitors and past the run out buoys and travel towards Webb’s Creek Ferry. You are not permitted to warn up on the race course.
No boat will be able to launch after the 10 minute hooter to start has sounded. All boats will be required to form up in start positions and marshal downstream of the Start Boat which will be positioned at the checkered buoy. Odd race numbers will start on the right side of the start boat. Even race numbers will start on the left, or Ski Grounds side of the start boat. Boats will leave at 1 boat every 30 seconds.
Ferry Stops
There are two vehicular ferries on the Course that will be operating during the conduct of the event on Sunday. Both the Sackville and Lower Portland Ferries will be operational, and competitors may be required to stop to allow a Ferry to cross the River.
As you approach the two ferries you will pass a single yellow lead in buoy that should be positioned in the centre of the river. This is to indicate you are approaching a Ferry. You may pass this buoy on either side. A Ferry control boat will be positioned in line with this buoy and will display a green flag if it is clear. As you approach the ferry about 150 metres from the Ferries will be two large yellow buoys or balloons. You must pass between these yellow buoys/balloons as they will keep competitors away from the Ferry Cables.
In the event that you are required to stop the Judges boat will be displaying a red flag. Your time out will start when you pass the single yellow lead in buoy. It is suggested that you travel up between the two yellow buoys/balloons and then drop your skiers into the water and await a green flag to be shown on the Judges Boat. Time on will start when the green flag is raised. When the green flag is raised pull you skiers up and recommence the race.
Please note: Ski Racing NSW is still in negotiation with a number of interested Authorities so some of these details may change, in which you will be notified of any changes.
Acceptance of Entry will be notified by return email or mail. Please ensure that your email details on entry form are legible.
