LETS GO RACING……THIS SUNDAY!
ARE YOU READY?
It has been way too long since the last NSW Series Race in 2019 and so we are super excited to be heading to the NSW Ski Gardens this weekend for our first race of the new season.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW TO BE READY
Entries
Entries are still rolling in and if you haven’t done so already, please get yours in quick or you will miss out.
Remember Entries Are Free for the first Series race this season and we will also be delivering a 50% discount for races 2 and 3, as our way of celebrating a return to racing and to thank you for your patience.
For any Juniors Under 14, who are not competing in races 1 or 2 and who are struggling to find a partner for these races, please contact us urgently by email at nswskiracing@gmail.com as we may be in a position to offer a solution that will enable your child to participate in race 3.
Covid Requirements
As the operators of the NSW SKI Gardens, the NSWWSF (the Federation) require that all entrants into the Ski Gardens must carry photographs of their double vaccination certificate on their phones along with photo ID.
Please note that some mobile networks have poor coverage at the NSW Ski Gardens, which is why you need to carry a photograph of your vaccination certificate.
The Federation have arranged Security and a Covid Marshall to be on duty from 6.15am to 12 pm and the park will open at 6.30am. There will be NO ENTRANCE to the park unless authorised prior to 6.30am.
When you arrive, everyone will need to scan the NSWWSF Ski Grounds QR Code. Should service be unavailable for your network, there will be a NSW Government Manual Covid Sign-in sheet. You will need to show Security and the Covid Marshall your Photo ID and Double Vaccination Certificate. Failure to provide any of this information will result in you being refused entry to the park.
Once you are granted access to the park, you will be directed to the Ski Racing NSW tent where you will be required to scan the SRNSW QR Code or complete the manual sign in.
These requirements are also applicable to those who arrive to the park by water.
Program of Events
7.30 am – Sign in, Helmet check and Breath Testing.
8.00 am – Briefing.
8.00 am – All Helpers to the Helpers Desk for check in.
9.00 am – Race Start
Determination of Age Class
Last week the Board of SRA agreed that the current age class dates (determined at the end of the financial year – 30 June) will not be changed and will therefore not reflect the insurance and season dates. As a result, some juniors will be required to update their membership Tier mid-season (30 June) prior to continuing, if they are choosing to move into their new age group.
CPR Course
This Thursday (tomorrow night), we are running our first CPR course. Please refer to our previous post for further details on this course, for which bookings are still open.
To accommodate members who are unable to attend the course this week, we are currently working on scheduling further courses and hope to be able to advertise our next course details in the coming days.
Sausage Sizzle
Don’t forget to join us after racing for a sausage sizzle and some time catching up with old friends, or making new ones.
We look forward to seeing you all this weekend.
If you would like further information regarding this or have any questions, please contact us at nswskiracing@gmail.com
Yours in Ski Racing,
Kelly Lindsell
